<image:title>Our Story - 2. You may not be as protected as you think.</image:title>
<image:caption>Most homeowners are not aware of the wind speeds their windows can tolerate in severe storms and may have a false sense of security. And, even though your home may not be located on an ocean front lot exposed to the water directly, hurricane and tropical storm winds can travel many miles inland and still cause severe damage once the storm makes landfall. Homeowners should be aware that most building companies will not use impact resistant glass, unless specified, in new construction as a means of keeping home prices lower and more competitive.</image:caption>

<image:title>Our Story - 1. You may be more at risk than you know.</image:title>
<image:caption>There are more than 450 coastal counties in the U.S. and the population density is four times higher in these counties than elsewhere. Most coastal homes are built up on pilings due to flood zone requirements and elevated home construction to 30 feet or higher causes window exposure to powerful winds to be magnified. In addition, coastal areas are subject to other storms such as Nor’easters and blizzards and can suffer damage from strong winds and flying debris. Most local building codes do not mandate the use of impact resistant windows so a large unmet need exists for another type of window protection system to reduce the risk of damage for homeowners.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Peace of Mind For Homeowners</image:title>
<image:caption>Weather forecasters have predicted that more frequent and severe coastal storms will occur due to global warming. And, these storms will impact large areas along the Atlantic and Gulf coastlines resulting in devastating outcomes for homeowners. Windows and doors can be vulnerable and prone to wind damage and penetration.. Until now, consumers have had to choose between expensive impact-resistant windows, bulky exterior storm shutters that need to be installed by professionals or plywood options. Although plywood is cost effective, it can be difficult for homeowners to access and cover windows from the exterior on a second story of their home. PolyWin Protector™ is the first product of its kind that can be installed on any floor by 2 people of average size and strength from the inside of their home.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - A Product Developed By Homeowners, For Homeowners.</image:title>
<image:caption>In October 2012, we lived on Long Beach Island, N.J., and lost our house to Superstorm Sandy. We’ll never forget the feeling of driving back into our storm-ravaged neighborhood to see the total devastation of our greatest asset – our home. Over the next year, we built a new home and moved back into our neighborhood. In October 2013, one year later after Sandy, another storm formed in the same area of the Caribbean where Sandy originated. Meteorologists predicted it would further develop and strike the Jersey coastline with winds of 130 mph. Fortunately, that storm got pushed out to sea and spared New Jersey coastal residents from another devastating storm.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The PolyWin Protector has received two patents as well as an approved trademark name. Homeowners can be secure in knowing that the PolyWin Protector has been tested at the National Certified Testing Laboratory. Using the ASTM E330-14 test method, the panel withstood 57.6 psf which is equivalent to the force generated by 150 mph winds without breaking, cracking or dissociation of any kind. Also, the panel has performed well during missile impact testing</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - What Makes PolyWin Protector™ Different.</image:title>
<image:caption>PolyWin Protector™ sits in the screen tracks of double-hung tilt wash windows and is held securely in place to the upper and lower window sashes from the interior of the home. Homeowners can install these protective panels from the INSIDE of their home on any floor without the use of tools, fasteners or ladders. The solid and multiwall polycarbonate design create a rigid, impact and wind resistant panel that protects windows from breaking during high-velocity windstorms, shattering from flying debris, or from unwanted forced entry into homes. The PolyWin Protector™ offers homeowners a more cost-effective and practical alternative to window protection..</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - The Truth About New Construction.</image:title>
<image:caption>Not every coastal county requires the use of impact-resistant windows regardless of how close homes are to the coastline When impact-resistant windows are mandated in a locality, they can easily double window budgets for homeowners Builders may also charge more for installing these windows due to their heavy weight and the use of lifts as well as additional framing and fastening requirements The PolyWin Protector™ offers homeowners an economical solution and flexibility when it comes to window protection from powerful winds, flying debris or unwanted forced entry.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - In the path of the storm, here is what’s at stake.</image:title>
<image:caption>Because windows and doors can be weak areas on dwellings and vulnerable to wind penetration, these areas should be protected to minimize damage and the potential for a total loss. Broken window glass can cause a house to become pressurized, like blowing air into a balloon. External positive wind pressure (outside to inside) causes windows to shatter and allows internal negative wind pressure (inside to outside) to push on walls and roof systems causing them to become compromised and eventually collapse leading to total loss of the structure. Impact-resistant windows are expensive, often doubling the cost of traditional windows and may create dangerous scenarios where windows cannnot be broken by emergency personnel during a fire rescue. Plywood boards may be difficult to install and potentially damage your exterior siding with nail or screw holes which can add costly repairs after removal.</image:caption>
